I met Ramin during the late nineties when he was running Australia's first online research agency. Everytime anyone wrote anything about the web, they would ring him up for a quote. Since selling his business to AC Nielson in 2000, he has been busy as an angel investor backing mobile messaging play MIG33 as well as helping other entrepreneurs as a mentor. We had a great chat at the last FED. Read on for the videocast.

I'd love to listen to this interview, but the download is so interminably slow, I can't download and save it to watch later, and above all, I'd rather download it as a podcast, stream it through iTunes and listen to it whilst I get my dinner ready!
Any reason why we can't have this as a podcast as well?

Hi Simon - I believe you might be suffering from chronic 'pod' syndrome :-)
But as it turns out - you can indeed have what you asked for. If you click through to the Google Video site you can download it straight to your computer, to your iPod or even your Sony PSP.
Although in the case of the latter, I'm sure playing Grand Theft Auto would be a lot more interesting than listening to Ramin and I jawboning on the couch.

I was at the FED event and many afterwards spoke of Ramin being funny but coy. For more VCs on tech stuff, with a little more positivity check out

No point doing the video/audio unless you do it well. The Fourth Estate intro thing was great, but the audio from the interview was terrible/unlistenable.
